happy new year.
i'm back. currently a little disoriented time and spacewise, having travelled about 10,000 miles across 11 time zones. i got on the plane in hot sunny, nairobi on sunday night and arrived in cloudy, gloomy san francisco on monday afternoon, via subfreezing london. i have 12 rolls of slides/prints and 2+ hours of dv footage to sift through in the near future. stay tuned; i plan to post a lot of that stuff on forota.net as i review it.

right now, i miss my parents' and their home on the outskirts of nairobi. it is a quiet retreat with lots of greenery, birds and the occasional wildlife. below are some dv camera stills from around the grounds.
